Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 20, 2026

1. Introduction

The Pixel Tree Project ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website pixeltreeproject.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using our site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at projectpixeltree@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Email address — collected at checkout in order to process your payment and send you your upload link. We do not add you to a mailing list without your consent.
  • Payment information — all payment details (card numbers, billing information) are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We never see or store your full payment card details.
  • Uploaded images — images you upload after purchase are stored securely via Vercel Blob and displayed publicly on the pixel canvas.
  • Alt text and links — any optional name, description, or website URL you associate with your pixel purchase is stored and displayed publicly on the canvas.

Information collected automatically:

  • Log data — our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically collects standard server log data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security and performance monitoring.
  • Cookies — Stripe may set cookies on your device during the checkout process to prevent fraud and ensure secure transactions. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies ourselves.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To process your pixel purchase and confirm payment
  • To send you your unique image upload link after purchase
  • To display your purchased image, name, and link on the public pixel canvas
  • To maintain the security and integrity of the platform
  • To respond to your enquiries if you contact us

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Stripe — payment processing. Your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel — website hosting and image storage. Data is governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy.
  • Neon (PostgreSQL) — our database provider, used to store order and pixel data securely.

5. Public Information

Please be aware that any image, name, or link you associate with your pixel purchase will be displayed publicly on the canvas at pixeltreeproject.com and may be visible indefinitely. Do not upload content you do not wish to be publicly visible.

6. Data Retention

We retain your email address and order information for as long as necessary to maintain the permanent nature of the pixel canvas and to comply with legal obligations. Uploaded images are stored permanently as part of the canvas record. If you wish to request deletion of your personal data, contact us at projectpixeltree@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your personal data (subject to our obligation to maintain the permanent canvas record)
  • Object to or restrict certain uses of your data

To exercise any of these rights, email us at projectpixeltree@gmail.com.

8. Children's Privacy

The Pixel Tree Project is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy
